Quotes "Forgiving Cancer" is a raw and visceral book about something very dark: cancer. But somewhere in the pages the author casts warm light on a cold topic. Losing anyone, especially a mother or daughter, to cancer is traumatic. Fearing to hear those words yourself is also a very scary scenario. But, with poise and dignity the author turns the other cheek on cancer and learns how peace is found in the balance and acceptance of all things in life. This is an important book which is a vignette of the sadness and courage that is found universally in the struggle against cancer. Quotes

Forgiving Cancer

Quotes The only thing scarier than a ghost story is when it's real! Author Jerri Cote shares her personal story in her first book "Living in a Ghost Story" from a terrified child to an accepting adult and all the challenges she faced in between. The book was a quick read, great for a relaxing evening or while commuting (as long as you're not the driver!) I found her story haunting (pun intended) and commend her in being brave enough to step forward to let others know. For the naysayers and non-believers, reading her story will not change your mind but it's not supposed to. Jerri is simply opening up about her interactions with ghosts/lost souls who have not moved on. I found the book to be intriguing and engaging. This is a book I would recommend to my co-workers and friends. Quotes

Living in a Ghost Story

Quotes Purchased this book for my husband and I. I have quit smoking and would like to continue to stay quit while he flop flops back and forth with quitting and starting back. This book gives great matter of fact discussions on the pros and cons of smoking, replacement therapy, and risks. This book may not work for everyone, but for me, it is a great reminder of why I want to stay quit from smoking. Quotes

Smoking is Dangerous! Transform Your Life Now!

Quotes Everyone knows that smoking is bad for your health, but it's not so easy to quit. This is a very straight forward book that discusses the cons of smoking along with how to quit, including replacement therapy. I have read books on how to quit smoking in the past, and this one is definitely different. It is a short guide that gets to the point of the risk smoking presents, reasons to quit, how to quit, to counseling and maintaining success. The plan to quit is laid out by someone who has been there. It is a challenge, and this book addresses many common problems and how to stay strong while stopping the addiction. While I don't personally smoke, I am looking forward to sharing this information with a few family members that do. Quotes

Smoking is Dangerous! Transform Your Life Now!

Quotes I want my dad to quit, so I got this book for him and I. It's straight forward and clear. The chapter on routines was important. We never really thought about the fact that smoking usually goes along with something else- it's subconscious. So really it's all about self-awareness. Good book. Helpful tips. Quotes

Smoking is Dangerous! Transform Your Life Now!

Quotes Jerri Cote is an admirable author who does not shy away from writing about some of the most difficult issues in life. I read her remarkable first novel about cancer and how it can devastate your life. Although this book has clear serious undertones, it is a novel you can enjoy just for story itself. A young Frances Gilbert ends up in hospital after a horrific accident. When she wakes up she suffers from a form of amnesia, unable to remember much about her past. Yet when the memories start to come back, she starts to uncover things about her past she did not bargain for - including dark secrets that have up until now been kept buried in secrecy. Quotes

"Hostile Affairs in Kansas"

Quotes Cancer is an inescapable truth about 21st Century life. It is the "C" word nobody wants to find out someone dear to them has got. It took me three hours to get through this book - I just couldn't put it down. Jerri is a spunky and vivacious woman whom I can't believe put up so well with death of her mother through cancer. Her tale of strength and personal empowerment is a lesson to us all. Her description of feeling helplessness is easy to understand and is a guideline for anyone also facing cancer within the family. It is more than the power of the mind. I have given this book much thought - it is an inspirational story that even those who are healthy can learn a great deal from. Quotes
